Sixth Grade Day Camp
A sixth-grade day camp for all sixth graders will be held Tuesday, August 7th, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the cafeteria. Important information and planned activities will be provided which will help make your child’s transition to middle school successful. We believe that our relaxed camp will help your child become familiar with the middle school setting and feel more comfortable about his or her new school.
New Student Orientation
New student orientation will be held Tuesday, August 14th, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. During orientation, the faculty will be introduced, an overview of the student handbook will be provided, the school uniform policy will be reviewed, and the transportation department will be available to answer bus questions. Other important information concerning the opening days of school will be covered as well. Payment of required fees will be accepted in the gym immediately following the orientation.
Parents are always welcome at Hillcrest Middle School. We invite our parents to visit their child’s class or have lunch with their child. Guests should report to the front office immediately upon arrival and secure a visitor’s pass.
Drop off time for car riders is no earlier than 7:30 a.m. Adequate supervision is not available before this time. Car riders should be dropped off and picked up in the back of the school at the student drop-off/pick-up area. The entrance to the student drop-off/pick-up area is on Old 521 and goes around to the back of the school. Please do not use the teacher parking lot to drop-off/pick-up students.
