Welcome to Hillcrest Middle School!

From the Principal's Desk

April 11, 2016

Dear Parents,

The South Carolina College and Career Ready Assessment (SC READY) and the South Carolina Palmetto Assessment of State Standards (SCPASS) will be administered online statewide to students in grades 3 through 8.  Therefore, it is important that all students are present and on time each day of testing.  Your child will be tested in the following areas on the designated dates:

SC Ready Test

April 21, 2016 -- Writing Test

April 22 - 25, 2016 --- Make up days for writing test

April 26, 2016 -- Reading Test

April 27 -- 29, 2016 -- Makeup days for reading test

May 3, 2016 -- Math Test

May 4 -- 6, 2016 -- Make up days for math test

Science -- May 11, 2016

Social Studies -- May 12, 2016

Make up days beginning May 13 --27, 2016

In an effort to ensure that your child has every opportunity for success, it is important that your child goes to bed early, eats a good breakfast, arrives to school on time each day of testing and stays the entire time scheduled for testing.  Late students cannot be allowed to enter the testing area once testing has begun.  We are also asking that you do not schedule any appointments or pick up your child from school during the scheduled testing hours.  In addition, as a reminder students are not allowed to have any electronic devices during testing that can be used for communication, timing, imaging, or accessing the Internet.  If you would like to volunteer to monitor during testing, please complete the attached form and return it to Guidance.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our school at (803) 499-3341.
