The South Carolina Department of Education has awarded Hillcrest Middle School the 2011 Palmetto Silver Award in recognition of academic achievement.
In its 11th year, the Palmetto Gold and Palmetto Silver awards program was created by the South Carolina General Assembly to recognize schools that attained high levels of absolute performance, high rates of growth, and substantial progress in closing achievement gaps between groups of students.
Box Tops for Education!
Great job, Wildcats!!! What a super way to start the new school year with hundreds of BoxTops for the Summer Savings Contest! The ONLY problem...we received 5 bags with no contact information on them and don't know who to give credit to! It's vital that all ziploc bags or envelopes have the student's full name, 4th period teacher's name and student's grade. I'm working hard to find out who they belong to, which is why winners have not been announced. Please be sure to LABEL your submissions using a sharpie marker and seal your bags/envelops so the BoxTops will not fall out. We're now in our Super September Contest so hand in those Box Tops; deadline to submit is Thursday, October 2nd.
