Membership in the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is based upon the five pillars: character, scholarship, leadership, service and citizenship. Common requirements include maintaining high academic achievement, volunteer service hours, excellent record of behavior at school as well as in the community and participating in leadership roles in extracurricular activities.
NJHS is more than just an honor society. In addition to sustaining the qualities to earn membership, as a member you will attend meetings, perform service projects that benefit the school and community, and fulfill any other responsibilities as required by the local chapter by-laws.
Service projects currently/previously sponsored by the National Junior Honor Society include: annual can food drive, annual Catchall Community Center Christmas Luncheon, community outreach programs, St. Patrick’s Day dance, school fundraisers, and Toys for Tots.
Last year’s activities culminated in a trip to Medieval Times, Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Our advisors for the 2017-2018 school year are Mrs. Chambers, Mrs. Diggs, Mrs. Josey and Mrs. Moore.
